Number Scrolls

Last week we made number scrolls. We were doing this to practice writing our numbers, to learn how to write large numbers, and to notice patterns that occur in a large number grid. Most of us were able to get up into the hundreds and some of us got even higher. I sent the scrolls home so that the crew could continue to work on it if they wanted to do so. Several kids have reported that they have been working on their scroll. Logan brought his in for us to see how far he had gotten - one day he was in the seven hundreds and another day he was in the one thousands. You might suggest that your child works on theirs next time they are "bored".

Homework ~ Read a good book or two. Check out a Bedtime Math story.
