Our Expeditions don't address all of the state standards for Social Studies so this week we will be taking a look at some patriotic symbols and a few famous Americans. This brief "stand alone" unit is always very interesting to first graders. You will probably be hearing all kinds of interesting facts and tidbits about some of our patriotic symbols this week and next.
