I teach first grade at Renaissance Magnet School of Expeditionary Learning in Castle Rock, Colorado. This is my twelfth year teaching first grade at Renaissance and my twenty-sixth year of teaching overall, including grades 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. I'm married (to a high school teacher) and have a ninteen year old daughter who attended Renaissance but will be a sophomore in college in the fall.
