What an exciting few days we have had! More to come - but for today, back to a regular, routine blog post.
Our new sight words are: get, first, down, here, when
Previous words include: and, like, for, day, her, are, going, my, look, of, have, do, me, they, saw
We are working on learning to spell these words correctly. We can read
them, now we must learn to write them. These are great words to point
out to your child when they are reading or to have them practice
spelling at home, too.
Homework
Reading ~ Read a good book or two.
Math ~ Test tomorrow. Practice counting collections of coins including dimes, nickels and pennies, filling in Frames and Arrows diagrams and telling time to the hour and half hour. This test will not include exchanging coins - 2 nickels for a dime, etc.
Library
We have library tomorrow. Please help your child remember to return his or her library books.
Here is a comment from Mrs. Price that I accidentally deleted by mistake instead of publishing it:
ReplyDeleteHere's a sentence to practice your sight words! When you get down here, first we'll find a kangaroo!
What a great sentence! We will try this one!
