Last Friday we spent some time working with tangrams. Tangrams are a type of puzzle invented in China that consists of 7 shapes that are used to create other shapes. Our goal for this lesson was to compose and decompose two dimensional shapes. In other words, to learn how shapes can be combined or taken apart to make other shapes (a square can be cut into 2 triangles, etc). The crew just thought it was fun.
