We Love to Read!

We love to read and we especially love to read with our friends. We recently added a buddy reading time to our day. Right after we have some time to read by ourselves, we get to read with a friend. We find a good spot in the room and sit shoulder to shoulder and read our books together. We take turns reading books or pages of books. We talk about what books we like the best. We work together to figure out challenging words and we notice things like interesting facts, stories or rhyming words.

We also read with friends each morning before school starts. When we come into the room at 8:30 am, we get to choose a book and read with friends until morning meetings starts at 8:40 am.
