All School Meeting

All School Meeting
Our crew led the All School Meeting today and did a fantastic job. My heart melted watching them up there. It was such a big accomplishment for so many of them.

Dear Ms. Jill's Crew,

Wow! What a magnificent job you all did leading All School Meeting. You were all so poised, confident, prepared and professional!

One of the things that great presenters do is capture the attention of the audience. You did this so well! Could you tell?

We all LOVED your song that you did with sign language. I was so impressed! It must have been a big challenge to learn to do that!

I'm wondering if maybe you could think about what you did to prepare for All School Meeting that made your presentation so enjoyable for the audience? Maybe you could share a few tips that you learned so that I could share those with other Crews?

All School Meeting
We did an amazing job at our All School Meeting this morning. One thing that we all noticed was how quickly that time went by. I told them that this was because we had practiced so hard and everyone knew their part so it all went quickly and smoothly. Wendy was able to get a few photos this morning but I am sure that you all have your own photos this time.

Indoor Recess
We had to have indoor recess this afternoon. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often and the crew really enjoys it as you can see in the photo below.

Reading ~ Read a good book or two.
Math ~ Home Link 8.4 A Shopping Story - this Home Link asks your child to glue or tape pictures from a newspaper or magazine on the back. Your child may also simply draw their own pictures instead.

You will find a copy of your child's assessment from Expedition in his or her homework folder today. Last week was too short to get it in the folder and sent home.

All School Meeting

We have library tomorrow. This is the last time for a few weeks due to the TCAP (formerly CSAP) testing that will be taking place in the library.

All School Meeting
We are leading the All School Meeting tomorrow morning at 9 am. You are all invited to come if you wish. We have been practicing and I think we are ready to run the meeting. Remember that some members of our crew have "behind the scenes" jobs so be sure to ask your child what their job is and where they will be if you are coming to watch.

Crew News February 8, 2012

All School Meeting
Twice a month we have All School Meetings. The whole school meets in the gym and has a morning meeting with everyone in the school there. At the next All School Meeting on February 29th our crew will be leading the meeting. We will begin to get organized in the next few weeks and choose the jobs that we would like to do at the meeting. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us that day. (There was supposed to be a cute picture of our crew sitting at today's All School Meeting today posted below but I forgot to take the picture! You can use your imagination.)

Math ~ Practice basic addition facts. You can use your home set of Fact Triangles.

Library
We have library tomorrow. Please help your child remember to return their books so that they can check out new books.

Crew News August 17, 2011

All School Meetings
We have All School Meetings on two Wednesdays a month. The dates for these are usually listed on the Renaissance website on the Calendar of Events page. The whole school attends these meetings and different crews take turns leading the meeting. We all really enjoy getting together to see what other crews are learning. Parents are welcome to attend these meetings, too.
