Painting Handprints on Our Drums
Last week in Art, we painted hand prints on our drum. This is a yearly tradition at Renaissance -at the end of the school year we add our hand print to our drum. Below is a series of photos that will show the process of putting a hand print on a drum. It certainly looked like messy fun.
Thank You!
What a wonderful gift you all gave me yesterday! Below is a picture of the beautiful picture that the crew made for me. It is perfect! I love it. I also love the Tattered Cover gift card, too. Thanks! You know I will use it.

I love to walk the halls of our school. The artwork displayed there is incredible. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Pam as our Art teacher. Enjoy the photos below of some of the artwork around our school right now. If you get this post by email, you will need to go directly to the blog to view the Haiku Deck.
If you would like to know more about Art at our school, please visit Ms. Pam's blog, Renaissance Art: The Practice and Ponders of an Art Teacher. If you would like detailed information about some of the projects shown here click on the Pages link at the top of her blog and then on the specific grade level you are interested in.

Art Display in the Hall
There is a beautiful display of the clay self-portraits that the first graders created in the hallway right outside the Art room door. If you haven't had a chance to stop in and see it yet, you should. The pictures below don't do the display justice - there is weird lighting in that area of the hall.
