Book Recommendations

I have more great books to share with you all today. Hopefully you will find some great ideas for books you would like to check out at the public library this weekend.

The Theodore Seuss Geisel Award was given out recently. Geisel Awards go to the most distinguished books for beginning readers. Charlie & Mouse won and they were lots of great honor books selected, too. Visit the link below by Alyson Beecher for more details about all of the winning books along with pictures of their covers.

Michele Knott shares a list of books about kindness. There are some great books on this list. Visit the link below to see them all.

Finally, there is a list of good books that promote deeper discussions. The post suggests using these books as a way to help identify gifted students and I am sure that they are great when used that way but I also think that they are great for encouraging deep discussions in all kids. There are some great books on this list.
